Public Health Service, for the past 10 years, has stood at the intersection between public health, community outreach and medical education.
Our annual flagship public health screening event is free and covers various modalities from phlebotomy to geriatric screening. Besides medical students from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, our volunteer pool also consists of nursing students from the NUS Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, NUS dentistry students, NUS pharmacy students, medical students from the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, as well as health professionals and staff from our partner organisations. Aside from our health screening event, we also piloted our Young Health Ambassadors' Programme (YHAP) in 2015, in a bid to make the youth of Singapore become bastions of health education. Read more about it here.
