Our free annual health screening acts as a one-stop service, where participants enjoy a comprehensive health screening at no cost. Participants are screened for various conditions, and those identified to be at higher risk of certain conditions are referred to various healthcare organisations for follow-up. We offer an extensive range of screening modalities. These included mental health, geriatric screening, dietitian’s consult, dental consult, and social services. Participants also learn about various health conditions and health services. Our dedicated Health Exhibition booth covers topics including ageing, mental health, cancer, metabolic diseases, caregiver burnout, and information on various government schemes available to provide financial assistance to those in need.

In order to follow up on the health issues identified in the screening, PHS conducts the Long Term Follow-Up on specific participants that face health issues and are willing to join the program. We target issues that are more chronic and may not be easily resolved over the course of the health screening program. This year, we are targeting participants that face chronic illnesses (e.g. hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart disease) or loneliness. Through this program, we aim to improve the management of participants’ illnesses and social connection of the participants that we engage with. We aim to improve the health and lifestyles of the participants of this program in the long term.

The Young Health Ambassadors’ Programme (YHAP) is designed to engage Junior College and Polytechnic students across Singapore, empowering them to serve as health ambassadors within their communities. Participants gain insights into pressing health issues in Singapore from distinguished guest speakers and are guided by university healthcare students who support their learning journey. As part of their learning experience, participants showcase their newfound knowledge through presentations, evaluated by a panel of judges. Participants also experience hands-on activities such as learning to interpret diagnostic scans, practising essential wound care techniques, and networking with like-minded peers. In 2026, the topics discussed were metabolic syndrome, sleep deprivation, cancer, vaping, mental health and active ageing. Distinguished speakers included Guest of Honour Tikki Pangestu, A/Prof Tan Kong Bing, A/Prof Chen Zhi Xiong, Prof Lau Tang Ching, Prof Susan Hue and Dr Francisco Salcido-Ocho.

In 2024, PHS introduced our newest event, the University Health Fair (UHF). From 21st to 22nd January 2026, UHF was held for the first time at University Town to resounding success. UHF stemmed from a crucial problem: that there has been a lack of efforts aimed at promoting health amongst university students. Hence, the objective of UHF is to raise awareness on health issues pertinent to university students today. A myriad of organisations were invited to come down to set up booths for the fair, raising awareness on issues such as addiction, vaping and sexual health which are highly applicable to young adults today.
